Event Description:
After three very successful annual productions, Beaufort Academy was excited to present this year's play Les Miserables. Rich in experience but new to Beaufort Academy, directors Heidi Bonney-Sprague and Ian Sprague took a serious twist in putting on this year's production. Tim Kelly's drama adaptation of the famous musical tells a story of loss and redemption set in France during the 1800's. The students captured such famous characters as the reformed ex-convict Valjean, the strict Inspector Javert, the corrupt Thenardier family, the desperate Fantine, the young lovers Marius and Cosette, and many more.
"It was exciting to see the students experience the process of producing an intense dramatic show," says director Ian Sprague.
Thank you to all of our play sponsors!
