BA Capital Campaign

Breaking Ground on Our Future

Over the course of this campaign, there have been multiple letters and speeches as we worked to fulfill our pledge to improve Beaufort Academy’s already promising future. I am happy to announce that our efforts have been rewarded with $2,200,000 in pledges and for this, we are grateful.

As we enter this next stage of the campaign, I found myself deliberating on the content that should comprise this letter. My fear, that lasted the better part of two weeks, was that all of our best material had been used. What could we possibly write to attract greater commitment for our campaign?

Then one night, after changing diapers and reading bed time stories for our two children, I turned on the news and the ideas for this letter became apparent…. News anchors were discussing the terrorist bombings in Brussels, a deeply divisive and disappointing presidential campaign process was on every channel, the media was idolizing controversial reality TV stars, national discussions were taking place on limiting religious freedoms (in a country where people have emigrated to escape religious persecution!) and it was one confusing, depressing and even awkward headline after another.

The seemingly unrealistic reality of our national and cultural status quo is concerning to say the least. While all of this uncertainty lurks, it is refreshing to see the pure innocence in our children as they experience discovery through challenging math formulas, science, literature, meaningful relationships with fellow students and teachers, improvement in athletics or learning whether the performer is the art, the art is in the performer or both…

The truth is, Beaufort Academy is needed more now than ever before. As we continually strive to improve our school, we know that the future is much brighter if we all support a common cause. Right now, our common cause is to complete a successful Capital Campaign so that we may break ground on continuing to improve upon life preparation for our current and future generations of students.

We plan to begin construction in the summer of 2017 but before we can select a final plan, we need to conclude this campaign. Before we can conclude the campaign, we need your financial support. The campaign will close on June 1st, 2016.

We ask that you prayerfully consider making Beaufort Academy your number one philanthropy of choice for the next four years so that we may collectively achieve our goal. We have enclosed a pledge card for your review. The pledge can be made to your specification through cash, stock or other approved forms of assets and paid over the course of four years.

We need your financial support. Our students need your financial support. Our teachers need your financial support. Please make your pledge by June 1st, 2016. The gift you make will change lives and those lives will make a difference in the world.

Thanks for your consideration and God Bless. Should you wish to discuss in greater detail, please feel free to call me directly at (843)521-8727.
