5K/10K Run/Walk
Come out and run or walk a USATF certified 5k or 10k course at beautiful Coosaw Point. A portion of the proceeds will benefit YMCA right here in Beaufort County.

When: Saturday - February 1st, 2020 (Superbowl Weekend)
10:30 am - 5K/10K Run/Walk
11:30am - Chili BREWFEST (cancelled due to COVID-19)

Come run in the 8th annual Chilly Bean Run at Coosaw Point on Lady’s Island in Beaufort, SC. Fun, flat beautiful course amongst giant live oaks and by the water.  Follow us on Facebook for race updates and hype!

Runners can choose between 2 USATF certified distances: 5k or 10k and will be chip timed by Grounded Running. Walkers, runners, families, kids and dogs are all encouraged to participate. 

Last year's race sold out at over 600 runners, and based on current registrations, organizers expect another sellout. To ensure you don't miss out, it is recommended that you preregister for the race at Runsignup.com. Race day registration is available, but has sold out for the past three years. Register early and arrive early! And bring your 4-legged running partner! The race is (leashed) dog-friendly. (dogs run for free). 
 
The race offers fun award categories, such as Furthest Distance traveled to run, Oldest Participant, Youngest Participant, First Military Finisher, First Dog to cross the finish line, and First Stroller. Kid-Friendly awards include the breakdown of smaller age award categories for male and female: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18. The other awards are standard: top finisher male/female in 10-year age groups. All registered runners receive a finisher medal!
 
This year's race benefits YMCA of Beaufort.The Chilly Bean Run event organizers as well as the Beaufort Academy Parent's Association are thrilled to be able to give proceeds to a local organization in need.
