"We made the decision to enroll our son at Beaufort Academy when he was entering 7th Grade. Quite frankly, we were a bit hesitant to do so for a variety of reasons, one of which would it ultimately be worth it fiscally if we added this new expense for our family? But, we can now say with confidence as we near the end of our 3rd year at BA, it was, is and will no doubt continue to be worth it! We could, easily, write a novel, itemizing & subsequently praising countless specific examples of the genuine sense of community and family at BA, the quality of instruction at BA, the demonstrated interest by BA staff members in our child’s success & much more. "2020 has been a year to test the best of us. When my husband and I learned that public schools were in limbo on whether or not to return, we knew we had to seek alternatives. Admissions was amazing at helping us with the entry process, it was seamless! We were a bit apprehensive to make such a big move for our two boys, but we knew in our hearts they needed to be in school 5 days a week. Once accepted, we met the teachers and administration. They are top notch. BA is more than a school to us, we feel a sense of belonging and that was not easy with what the world threw at us. We couldn’t be more proud to have our children at a school that values academics, leadership, family and community involvement. NURTURING ENVIRONMENT
"My daughter is in her third year attending Beaufort Academy and she loves it!  She thrives in the smaller class setting where she receives individualized attention.  All of her teachers, coaches and staff provide a safe, nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment for academic learning and life lessons.  I have witnessed BA celebrate academic achievements, state championships and many more celebratory events for parents, students and staff.  I have also seen the school come together in some of the most unimaginable darkest times of a family's life.  It was during those dark times I saw BA shine the brightest with support, love and empathy for it's families all while ensuring BA students had the support and resources they needed to get through those difficult times.  BA is a school that always has something exciting going on and as parents we have endless opportunities to be a part of the action. I have enjoyed helping in the school store, fall festival, Chilly Bean Run, and I even learned how to operate the score clock for the girls volleyball games. I know choosing a school can be a stressful decision to make because we want to get it right for our children. We got it right choosing BA for our daughter!  We know it is the right decision because she is in a school that is safe, a school that offers excellent academics, a school that is nurturing and fun."

VITAL TEACHER CONNECTION
"As a parent of two upper school children, I cannot put into words my appreciation for the faculty and staff at Beaufort Academy especially during the recent unpredictable times. A couple of years ago we had a tough decision of pulling our child out of public school. This was never our plan and intention when planning for our children’s education. Within days of transferring him to Beaufort Academy, we observed a significant and positive change and we had no doubt that our decision was the right one. Our daughter joined him the following year. BA is a school made up of giving, determined, and dedicated people who truly focus on the individual child. Teachers were able to get to know my children’s personalities, their strengths, their weaknesses and how to engage them in learning to help them meet their potential. In the most wonderful way our children have been positively pushed. There is no “barely getting by” or being overlooked at BA. The curriculum is academically challenging and there are numerous opportunities for personal growth through clubs and athletics. It is a blessing to send my kids to BA and be taught by teachers who are able to use their talents and training in the way they are meant to be used. The connections my children have with their teachers have been vital. From the teachers to the leadership, the commitment level and the focus is on the students 100%. The leadership especially shined during the pandemic. As I dropped off books in May, the administration was feverishly working on a plan to safely open in August so the students would not miss another day of face-to-face instruction. The first day of school was a happy day! When it comes to Beaufort Academy, my only regret is I did not make the change sooner."
