Mission & Core Values

At Beaufort Academy, we cultivate curiosity and character. We prepare students to become well-rounded critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders of tomorrow.

We support rigorous academics rooted in core values, inspiring each student to take responsibility for themselves, their community, and the world around them.

Core Values

These five pillars guide everything we do — in classrooms, on fields and stages, and across the halls of our school.

List of 5 items.

  • Intellect

We encourage intellectual curiosity. Students engage with diverse learning styles, build confidence, and gain the skills needed to thrive anywhere.
  • Integrity

Honesty, fairness, and authenticity are non-negotiable. Every action — big or small — reflects who we are. Together, students and faculty uphold ethical behavior and trust.
  • Respect

We honor everyone’s dignity — ourselves, each other, and our environment. Respect underpins all interactions, fostering a safe and inclusive culture.
  • Leadership

Leadership isn't just a role — it's a practice. We give students tools and opportunities to grow, lead by example, and make a positive impact.
  • Pride

We celebrate achievement — personal growth, team wins, intellectual accomplishments. Pride in self, in others, and in our shared community inspires excellence.

Character Education

Developing character is central to the Beaufort Academy experience. Every year, students who embody our core values are honored: their names are inscribed in our courtyard near the memorial fountain to serve as lasting inspiration.

As part of our ongoing strategic plan, we are expanding our character education offerings:
  • Grade-level programs focused on self-reflection, acceptance, and navigating the challenges of growing up in the modern world.
  • Cross-age mentoring, where older students support younger ones — academically, socially, and in life skills.
These initiatives aren’t just about academics. They help students gain self-knowledge, self-respect, and a readiness to lead meaningful lives beyond the classroom.
