BEAUFORT, SC. (WTOC) - After back-to-back seasons ending in the State Semifinal round with both losses to Williamsburg, the Beaufort Academy Eagles are primed for another deep run.

Head Coach Nic Shuford enters year three at the helm in Beaufort. He comes over after a long tenure at reigning State Champion, Thomas Heyward where he won 4 State Titles with the Rebels. He’s now adopted a new challenge of turning the Eagles into a powerhouse and he’s gotten them a step before their goal in each of his first two years. “We’re tired of getting knocked out in the semi’s for sure. Ultimate goal is to win a State Championship and that’s the goal for these guys going forward. The mindset here has been extremely pleasing. We’ve had good leadership out of the seniors and hoping the younger guys are going to feed off their energy” said Coach Shuford.

The Eagles have a great skills group and hope to run the ball effectivley in 2025 but still looking for growth up front and in the Quarterback room.

Beaufort Academy will open up the new season on the road on August 15 at Hilton Head Prep.
