Beaufort Academy is looking to hire a Preschool teaching assistant for our four year-old class. We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant teacher to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children. This job includes, but is not limited to: supporting the lead teacher with teaching, assisting students with daily tasks, preparing daily activities, assessing the children, supervising the children and enforcing school policies. All candidates for this position must share the educational philosophy consistent with Beaufort Academy’s mission statement.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
• Provide support to the lead teacher in a full range of classroom activities
• Take instruction from the lead teacher who provides information on what the class is going to be taught each day
• Supervise children in social and developmental activities
• Assist children in handling their personal needs, such as toileting, changing diapers if needed, and hand washing
• Assist in preparing snack and lunch time
• Supervise children on playground
• Patient & loves working with children
• Friendly personality
• Effective communication skills

• Minimum of a high school diploma. Early Childhood Education degree recommended.
• Experience in working with Toddler and Preschool aged children.

Hours
• Full-time assistant teaching position, 2023-2024 school year
• 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 3pm Friday
